1 그럼에도 오, 나의 종 야곱아, 곧 내가 선택한 이스라엘아, 이제 들으라.
1 Yet now hear, O Jacob my servant; and Israel, whom I have chosen:
2 너를 만들었고 태에서부터 너를 형성하였으며, 너를 도울 이인 주가 이같이 말하노라. 오, 나의 종 야곱아, 내가 선택한 너, 여수룬아, 두려워하지 말라.
2 Thus saith the LORD that made thee, and formed thee from the womb, which will help thee; Fear not, O Jacob, my servant; and thou, Jesurun, whom I have chosen.
3 이는 내가 목마른 자 위에 물을, 메마른 토양 위에 큰물들을 부어 줄 것이기 때문이라. 내가 너의 씨 위에 나의 영을, 너의 후예 위에 나의 복을 부어 주겠노라.
3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:
4 그리하면 그들이 풀 사이에 있는 것같이, 물길들의 가장자리에 난 버들들같이 솟아나리라.
4 And they shall spring up as among the grass, as willows by the water courses.
5 한 사람이 말하기를, “나는 주께 속하였다.” 할 것이요, 또 다른 사람은 야곱의 이름으로 자신을 칭하리라. 또 다른 사람은 자기 손으로 서명하여 주께 가담하고 이스라엘의 이름을 자신의 이명으로 정하리라.
5 One shall say, I am the LORD'S; and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob; and another shall subscribe with his hand unto the LORD, and surname himself by the name of Israel.
6 이스라엘의 왕이요, 그의 구속주요, 만군의 주인 주가 이같이 말하노라. 나는 처음이요, 나는 마지막이라. 그리고 나 외에는 다른 하나님이 전혀 없느니라.
6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
7 그리고 내가 먼 옛날의 백성을 지정한 이래에 누가 나처럼 부르고 그것을 선언하며 나를 위하여 그것을 순서대로 두겠느냐? 그런즉 일어나고 있는 것들과 일어날 것들을 그들로 하여금 이들에게 제시하게 하라.
7 And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.
8 너희는 두려워하지 말고, 무서워하지도 말라. 내가 그때부터 너에게 알렸고 그것을 선포해 오지 아니하였느냐? 너희가 바로 나의 증인들이라. 나 외에 어떤 하나님이 있느냐? 진정 다른 하나님은 전혀 없나니, 나는 아무도 모르노라.
8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any.
9 ¶ 조각된 형상을 만드는 자들, 그들 모두는 헛되도다. 그리고 그들이 열광하는 것들은 유익을 주지 못하리니, 그들이 그들 자신의 증인들이라. 그들은 보지도 못하고, 알지도 못하나니, 그들이 수치를 당하리라.
9 ¶ They that make a graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed.
10 아무 유익을 주지 못하는 신을 누가 형성하였느냐, 혹은 새긴 형상을 누가 주조하였느냐?
10 Who hath formed a god, or molten a graven image that is profitable for nothing?
11 보라, 그의 모든 동료들이 수치를 당하리라. 또 기술자들, 그들은 사람들에 속하는도다. 그들 모두가 함께 모이게 하라. 그들로 하여금 일어서게 하라. 그럼에도 그들은 두려워할 것이요, 그들은 함께 수치를 당하리라.
11 Behold, all his fellows shall be ashamed: and the workmen, they are of men: let them all be gathered together, let them stand up; yet they shall fear, and they shall be ashamed together.
12 대장장이는 부집게들을 가지고 숯들 가운데서 일하기도 하고, 망치들로 그것에 모양을 내기도 하며, 자기 두 팔의 힘으로 그것을 세공하기도 하는도다. 진정 그는 배고파서 그의 힘이 쇠하는도다. 그는 물을 마시지 않아서 기진하는도다.
12 The smith with the tongs both worketh in the coals, and fashioneth it with hammers, and worketh it with the strength of his arms: yea, he is hungry, and his strength faileth: he drinketh no water, and is faint.
13 목수가 자신의 줄자를 펼치니, 그가 줄로 그것을 표시하는도다. 그는 대패들로 그것을 맞추나니, 그가 그것을 컴퍼스로 표시하고, 사람의 모형을 본떠 사람의 아름다움에 따라 그것을 만드는도다. 이는 그것이 집 안에 남아 있게 하려 함이라.
13 The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with a line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of a man, according to the beauty of a man; that it may remain in the house.
14 그는 자신에게 백향목들을 베어 두고, 사이프러스나무와 상수리나무를 취하나니, 그가 숲의 나무들 사이에서 자신을 위하여 그것들을 강하게 하는도다. 그가 물푸레나무를 심나니, 비가 그것에 양분을 주는도다.
14 He heweth him down cedars, and taketh the cypress and the oak, which he strengtheneth for himself among the trees of the forest: he planteth an ash, and the rain doth nourish it.
15 그 다음에 그것은 사람을 위한 땔감이 되리라. 이는 그가 그것의 일부를 취하여 자신의 몸을 따뜻하게 할 것이기 때문이라. 진정 그가 그것에 불을 붙이고 빵을 굽는도다. 진정 그가 신을 만들어 그것을 경배하는도다. 그가 그것을 조각된 형상으로 만들어 놓고서 그것에 대고 엎드리는도다.
15 Then shall it be for a man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh a god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it a graven image, and falleth down thereto.
16 그가 그것의 일부를 불속에서 태우고, 그것의 일부로는 그가 고기를 먹는도다. 그가 구이 요리를 불에 굽고 배를 불리는도다. 진정 그가 자신의 몸을 따뜻하게 하며 말하기를, “아하, 나는 따뜻하도다. 내가 불을 보았도다.” 하는도다.
16 He burneth part thereof in the fire; with part thereof he eateth flesh; he roasteth roast, and is satisfied: yea, he warmeth himself, and saith, Aha, I am warm, I have seen the fire:
17 그러고는 그가 그것 중 남아 있는 것으로 신을 만드나니, 곧 그의 조각된 형상이로다. 그가 그것에 대고 엎드리며, 그것을 경배하고, 그것에 기도하여 말하기를, “저를 구하소서. 이는 당신께서 저의 신이시기 때문이니이다.” 하는도다.
17 And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god.
18 그들이 알지도 이해하지도 못하였도다. 이는 그가 그들이 볼 수 없도록 그들의 눈을 감기게 했음이요, 그들이 이해하지 못하도록 그들의 마음을 닫았기 때문이라.
18 They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.
19 그런즉 자기 마음속으로 숙고하는 자가 없으며, 이같이 말할 만큼 지식도 명철도 없도다. “내가 그것의 일부를 불속에서 태웠도다. 진정 내가 그것의 숯불들로 빵도 구웠도다. 내가 고기를 불에 구웠고 그것을 먹었도다. 그런데 내가 그것 중 남아 있는 것으로 가증한 것을 만들겠느냐? 내가 나무에서 난 통나무에 대고 엎드리겠느냐?”
19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of a tree?
20 그는 재들을 먹는도다. 속아 넘어간 마음이 그를 길에서 벗어나게 하였기에 그는 자신의 혼을 구출할 수 없고, “나의 오른손에 어떤 거짓된 것이 있지 아니하냐?” 하고 말할 수도 없느니라.
20 He feedeth on ashes: a deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not a lie in my right hand?
21 ¶ 오, 야곱, 곧 이스라엘아, 이것들을 기억하라. 이는 네가 나의 종이기 때문이라. 내가 너를 형성하였노라. 너는 나의 종이라. 오, 이스라엘아, 너는 나에게서 잊히지 아니하리라.
21 ¶ Remember these, O Jacob and Israel; for thou art my servant: I have formed thee; thou art my servant: O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me.
22 내가 너의 불법들을 짙은 구름같이, 너의 죄들을 구름같이 지워 버렸도다. 나에게로 되돌아오라. 이는 내가 너를 구속하였기 때문이라.
22 I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
23 오, 너희, 하늘들아, 노래하라. 이는 주가 그것을 행하였기 때문이라. 너희, 땅의 더 낮은 부분들아, 함성을 지르라. 너희, 산들아, 노래로 환호를 터뜨리라. 오, 숲과 그 안에 있는 각종 모든 나무들아, 이는 주가 야곱을 구속하였고 이스라엘 안에서 자신을 영광스럽게 하였기 때문이라.
23 Sing, O ye heavens; for the LORD hath done it: shout, ye lower parts of the earth: break forth into singing, ye mountains, O forest, and every tree therein: for the LORD hath redeemed Jacob, and glorified himself in Israel.
24 너의 구속주요, 태에서부터 너를 형성한 이인 주가 이같이 말하노라. 나는 만물을 만든 주로다. 홀로 하늘들을 활짝 펼치고 스스로 땅을 넓게 펴는도다.
24 Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone; that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself;
25 거짓말쟁이들의 징표들을 헛되게 하고 점술가들을 미치게 만드는 이요, 지혜로운 사람들을 뒷걸음질 치게 하고 그들의 지식을 어리석게 만드는 이요,
25 That frustrateth the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;
26 그의 종의 말씀들을 확정하고 그의 전령들의 계획을 이행하는 이요, 예루살렘을 향하여 말하기를, “네게 사람이 거주하게 되리라.” 하고 유다의 도시들을 향하여 말하기를, “너희가 건축되리니, 내가 그곳의 쇠퇴한 곳들을 일으켜 세우겠노라.” 하는 이요,
26 That confirmeth the word of his servant, and performeth the counsel of his messengers; that saith to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, Ye shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:
27 깊음에게 말하기를, “마르라. 그리고 내가 너의 강들을 말려 버리겠노라.” 하는 이요,
27 That saith to the deep, Be dry, and I will dry up thy rivers:
28 키루스에 관하여 말하기를, “그는 나의 목자니, 나의 모든 기쁨을 수행하리라.” 하는 이니, 곧 예루살렘에게 말하기를, “너는 건축되리라.” 하고, 성전에 말하기를, “너의 기초가 놓이리라.” 하는 이라.
28 That saith of Cyrus, He is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.
