1 유다와 예루살렘에 관하여 아모즈의 아들 이사야가 보았던 말씀이라.
1 The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2 이후에 마지막 날들에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 주의 집의 산이 산들의 꼭대기에 확고히 세워질 것이요, 언덕들 위로 크게 높여지리라. 그리하면 모든 민족들이 그곳으로 밀려들리라.
2 And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD'S house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
3 그리고 많은 백성들이 가면서 말하기를, “너희는 오라, 그리하여 우리가 주의 산으로, 곧 야곱의 하나님의 집으로 올라가자. 그리하면 그분께서 우리에게 그분의 길들을 가르치실 것이요, 우리가 그분의 행로들 가운데 살아가리라. 이는 율법이 시온에서 나가고, 주의 말씀이 예루살렘에서 나갈 것이기 때문이라.” 하리라.
3 And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
4 그리고 그분께서 민족들 가운데서 심판하실 것이요, 많은 백성들을 꾸짖으시리라. 그리고 그들은 자신들의 칼들을 두들겨서 보습들을 만들 것이요, 자신들의 창들을 두들겨서 가지치는 낫들을 만들 것이라. 민족이 민족을 대적하여 칼을 들어 올리지 아니할 것이요, 그들은 더 이상 전쟁을 배우지도 아니하리라.
4 And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
5 오, 야곱의 집아, 너희는 오라. 그리하여 우리가 주의 빛 가운데 살아가자.
5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
6 ¶ 그러므로 당신께서 당신의 백성 야곱의 집을 저버리셨나이다. 이는 그들이 동쪽으로부터 다시 채워지고 필리스티아인들같이 점쟁이들이며, 그들이 타국인들의 후손들 사이에서 자신들을 기쁘게 하기 때문이니이다.
6 ¶ Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.
7 그들의 지역 역시 은과 금으로 가득하고, 그들의 보물들의 끝은 어디에도 없나이다. 그들의 지역 역시 말들로 가득하고, 그들의 병거들의 끝은 어디에도 없나이다.
7 Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:
8 그들의 지역 역시 우상들로 가득하나이다. 그들은 자기 자신의 손에서 나온 작업물을 경배하나니, 그것들은 그들 자신의 손가락으로 만든 것이니이다.
8 Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:
9 그런즉 미천한 사람이 아래로 숙여 절하고, 위대한 사람이 스스로 겸손하게 하나이다. 그러므로 그들을 용서하지 마소서.
9 And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not.
10 ¶ 주를 두려워함으로 인하여, 그분의 존엄의 영광으로 인하여 바위 안으로 들어가고 티끌 속에다 너를 숨기라.
10 ¶ Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty.
11 사람의 자고한 표정들이 겸손해질 것이요, 사람들의 거만함이 아래로 숙여질 것이니, 그날에는 주만이 홀로 크게 높여지시리라.
11 The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
12 이는 만군의 주의 날이 교만하고 자고한 모든 개개인 위에, 또 치켜세워진 모든 개개인 위에 임할 것이기 때문이라. 그리하여 그가 낮아지리라.
12 For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:
13 그리고 레바논의 모든 백향목들, 곧 높고 솟아오른 백향목들 위에, 바샨의 모든 상수리나무들 위에,
13 And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan,
14 모든 높은 산들 위에, 솟아오른 모든 언덕들 위에,
14 And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up,
15 각각의 모든 높은 망대 위에, 방비가 강화된 각각의 모든 성벽 위에,
15 And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall,
16 타르시시의 모든 선박들 위에, 모든 즐거움을 주는 그림들 위에 임하리라.
16 And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures.
17 그런즉 사람의 자고함이 아래로 숙여질 것이요, 사람들의 거만함이 낮아지리라. 그리하여 그날에는 주만이 홀로 크게 높여지시리라.
17 And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
18 그리고 그분께서 우상들을 모조리 척결하시리라.
18 And the idols he shall utterly abolish.
19 그리하면 그분께서 땅을 공포스럽게 흔들려고 일어나실 때, 주의 두려우심으로 인하여, 또 그분의 존엄의 영광으로 인하여, 그들은 바위굴들과 땅굴들 속으로 들어가리라.
19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
20 그날에는 사람이 은으로 만들어진 자기 우상들과 금으로 만들어진 자기 우상들을 두더지들과 박쥐들에게 던지되, 곧 그들이 경배하려고 자신을 위하여 만든 자기 우상들을 던지리니,
20 In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;
21 그분께서 땅을 공포스럽게 흔들려고 일어나실 때, 주의 두려우심으로 인하여, 또 그분의 존엄의 영광으로 인하여, 사람이 바위들의 틈들과 거친 바위들의 꼭대기들 안으로 들어가리라.
21 To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.
22 너희는 호흡이 그의 콧구멍에 있는 사람에게 의존함을 그치라. 그런즉 사람이 존중받을 데가 어디에 있느냐?
22 Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
