1 그날에 주께서 그분의 격하고 거대하고 강한 칼로 그 꿰뚫는 뱀 리바이어던, 곧 뒤틀린 뱀 리바이어던을 벌하시리라. 그리하여 그분께서 바다에 있는 그 용을 살해하시리라.

1 In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

2 그날에 너희는 그녀에게 “붉은 포도즙의 포도원”을 노래하라.

2 In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.

3 나, 주가 그것을 지키노라. 내가 모든 순간마다 그것에 물을 주겠노라. 아무도 그것을 다치게 하지 못하리라. 내가 밤낮으로 그것을 지키겠노라.

3 I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.

4 노여움은 내 안에 없노라. 누가 전투에서 나를 대적하여 찔레들과 가시나무들을 두겠느냐? 내가 그것들을 가로질러 가겠고, 내가 그것들을 다 함께 불태우겠노라.

4 Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.

5 그리되지 아니하려면 그가 나의 힘을 붙들게 하여 그로 하여금 나와 화친하게 하라. 그리하면 그는 나와 화친하리라.

5 Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

6 그분께서 야곱에게서 나온 자들이 뿌리내리게 하시리라. 이스라엘은 꽃을 피우고 싹을 틔우며 열매로 세상의 표면을 가득 채우리라.

6 He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

7 ¶ 그분께서 친히 그를 친 자들을 치신 것처럼 그를 치셨느냐? 아니면 그분에 의하여 살해당한 자들의 살육처럼 그가 살해되었느냐?

7 ¶ Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?

8 그것이 적당히 새싹을 틔울 때, 당신께서 그것과 논쟁하시리이다. 그분께서 동풍의 날에 자신의 거친 바람을 멎게 하시느니라.

8 In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.

9 그러므로 이것에 의하여 야곱의 죄악이 정화되리이다. 그리고 이것이 그의 죄를 제거하는 모든 열매이니이다. 그분께서 제단의 모든 돌들을 두들겨 맞아 산산이 부서진 분흙같이 만드실 때 작은 수풀들과 형상들은 서지 못하리라.

9 By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

10 그럼에도 방어가 강화된 도시가 황량해지고 거처는 버려져서 광야처럼 남겨지리라. 거기서 송아지가 풀을 뜯을 것이요, 거기서 드러누우며 그곳의 가지들을 먹어 치우리라.

10 Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.

11 그곳의 원가지들이 시들었을 때 그것들이 부러지리라. 여자들이 와서 그것들에 불을 지르리라. 이는 명철이 없는 백성이기 때문이라. 그러므로 그들을 만드신 분께서 그들에게 자비를 베풀지 아니하실 것이요, 그들을 형성하신 분께서 그들에게 어떠한 호의도 보이지 아니하시리라.

11 When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.

12 ¶ 그리고 그날에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 주께서 그 강의 수로에서부터 이집트의 개울까지 물리치시리라. 그리하면 오, 너희, 이스라엘 자녀들아, 너희가 하나하나 모이리라.

12 ¶ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.

13 또한 그날에 이러한 일이 있으리니, 거대한 나팔이 불려지면, 아시리아 지역에서 패망하기 직전이었던 자들과 이집트 지역에서 추방된 자들이 와서 예루살렘의 거룩한 산속에서 주를 경배하리라.

13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
