1 이스라엘이 이집트에서 나가던 때요, 타국의 언어를 하는 백성에게서 야곱의 집이 나가던 때,

1 When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

2 유다는 그분의 성소였고, 이스라엘은 그분의 영지였도다.

2 Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.

3 바다가 그것을 보고 도망하였도다. 요르단이 뒤로 밀려났도다.

3 The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.

4 산들은 숫양들처럼, 작은 언덕들은 어린양들처럼 폴짝였도다.

4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

5 오, 너, 바다야, 무엇이 너를 고통스럽게 하였기에 네가 도망하였느냐? 너, 요르단아, 어째서 네가 뒤로 밀려났느냐?

5 What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?

6 너희, 산들아, 어찌하여 너희가 숫양들처럼 폴짝였느냐? 또 너희, 작은 언덕들아, 어찌하여 어린양들처럼 폴짝였느냐?

6 Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?

7 너, 땅아, 너는 주의 면전에서, 곧 야곱의 하나님의 면전에서 떨라.

7 Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

8 그분께서 반석을 고인 물로, 부싯돌을 물들의 원천으로 바꾸셨도다.

8 Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
